Open Access: Making sure that research findings are available world-wide for all to read, copy and re-use

A workshop in the English language, which focuses on open access (OA) publishing. Defines key types of open access and considers motivations for scientific authors to publish open access. Includes active discussion on current topics including the role of open access in times of pandemic. During the workshop, participants will be invited to reflect on the question: Which type of OA works best and why?

Jenny Delasalle

Jenny Delasalle is “Open-Access-Beauftragte” or Open Access Envoy at the Charité since 01.01.2020 and also leads the Open Access (OA) Team of the Charité Medical Library. The OA Team administer both the Charité Open Access Publication Fund and Charité collections on the institutional repository of the Charité and the FU, Refubium. Jenny is a qualified and experienced academic librarian, having worked in support of researchers for over twenty years in both the UK and Germany, including five years as a freelancer working for universities, publishers and software providers.
